Hypnosis is a powerful, effective, and natural part of you. The ability to go into a hypnotic state is as natural as breathing. In this state, you can learn, relax, or allow changes in your emotions to influence your outlook. Have you ever been so engrossed in a movie that you were shocked that two hours had just gone by? General comments about hypnosis include: “Was I hypnotized?” Or “I could hear every word you were saying,” or “I felt like I could open my eyes if I wanted to.” The only reason people stay in hypnosis is because it feels fantastic. At any time, they can get up and walk away. It is important to understand that hypnosis isn’t like being asleep, but rather like being in a deep meditative state.
